Different Countries - different time!

Organizing video conferences ... children noticed, that the schools in the different countries have different times. We always have to calculate and sometimes it is not that easy to come together.

The reason:

In the area of the european union there are three different timezones. These zones effect the time in the countries.

 

Timezones in Europe

A timezone is a region of the earth that has uniform standard time, usually referred to as the local time. The time in Greenwich in England is reffered to all as the place which all are compared to. This time is called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
